With us, research assistants in various stages of their qualification actively form and bring about change through practical research on real-life challenges and future-oriented topics. Involved in research and third-party funded projects, they make an important contribution towards the transfer of knowledge and innovation within the economy and society of the Bremen region.
If you would like to offer your expertise and curiosity to our university, there are various options available: We regularly provide fixed-term positions for research assistants in pure research as well as cooperative projects, which are often even suitable as part-time-employment. Doctoral projects are also possible in cooperation with a university.

In the fields of teaching and research, we deal with the current issues of our time – from sustainable energy systems to quality-of-life issues. We focus on applied-science-oriented and interdisciplinary approaches. Together with companies, scientific institutions and organisations from the region and around the world, we develop solutions for practical use.
Professors at universities of applied sciences pass on their scientific expertise and proven practical experience to students. In doing so, they enjoy a great deal of creative freedom and appreciate the versatility of their profession, allowing them to establish their own personal priorities.
Prof. Dr. Brita Schemmann’s path to a professorship took her, among other places, to an agricultural college in Great Britain and to a start-up project.

#Barrierefreiheit in den Sozialen Medien ist entscheidend für digitale #Teilhabe und Inklusion. Sie stellt sicher, dass Menschen mit Beeinträchtigungen Inhalte nutzen können. Ein Thema, das auch bei STARS EU wichtig ist, um die von der EU geförderte Hochschulallianz gemeinsam gut zu gestalten. Deshalb organisierten das Student Board der Allianz und das Zentrum für Lehren und Lernen (ZLL) der Hochschule Bremen (HSB) einen Online-Workshop zu Barrierefreiheit in den Sozialen Medien. Eine der Organisator:innen war Jule Sobanja. Die HSB-Studentin ist im Vorstand vom Student Board. Das Gremium vertritt die Studierenden der neun Partnerhochschulen in der Allianz. Im Projekt „Everyone Must Play a Part” geht es nicht darum, perfekte Schauspieler:innen zu werden – sondern darum,
🔹 selbstbewusst aufzutreten
🔹 die eigene Stimme zu finden
🔹 im Team zu arbeiten
🔹 neue Perspektiven einzunehmen
🔹 und sich selbst ganz neu kennenzulernen
24 Studierende haben sich auf eine intensive kreative Reise eingelassen: improvisieren, ausprobieren, scheitern, neu anfangen – und am Ende gemeinsam auf der Bühne stehen. 🎬
Ein Angebot, das zeigt: Studium kann mehr sein als Vorlesung und Klausur.
Das Ergebnis?
👉 „Wir sind viele” – ein Stück über Nähe, Distanz, Vielfalt und das Gefühl, gleichzeitig verbunden und fremd zu sein.
